Smith Museum of Stain Glass

At Navy Pier, we found two museum's. One was the Smith Museum of Stain Glass and the other Tiffiny Stain Glass. Each one offered spectacular displays and again, the camera doesn't do it justice. We spent a few hours here this afternoon.

Tomorrow we begin the journey once again.

Ron thought I should have some company

Do I need to tell ya' how much I might have been a little panic stricken here!! You're looking at my "baby" folks! This retirement thing is truly a challenge -- for us both!

Some trees just call out to be climbed! This was one of those!

He said it was a Salmon

Here was a guy who decided to fish a little before heading out to work. As I was coming off the boat to walk Gilligan he called over and asked if we had a fishing net. We did -- somewhere! We finally found it under the upper helm station and sure enough the fish was still on. He netted it and gave it to another looper because literally, he was on his way to work and had no where to keep the fish all day. He said it was the biggest thing he'd ever caught. The other looper took a picture and offered to send it to him. For those of you wondering why we didn't take the fish, well, Ron and I have fished a lot of years and this fish just didn't act right. I asked the gentleman how long he'd had him on the line. He'd just gotten him before he called over to me. Seems like there should have been more fight to a healthy fish. So we passed.

Chicago at night

This is taken from our Starboard quarter. We are at the DuSable Harbor Marina, directly downtown. My camera is not exactly top of the line folks, and these pictures just do not do the beauty of this city at night justice. Tomorrow we plan on going over to Navy Pier. That looked like fun coming in this afternoon. Good night all!

Chicago

We arrived Chicago today. We'll be here for two days. This afternoon we decided to take the architectural boat tour! Yes folks, of all the attractions, I was interested in the building, and Ron and I both couldn't think of a place we'd rather be than ... ahh ... on a boat! Yeah, this trip was good for both of us.
