We have a 4'1" draft. This does not make us feel warm and fuzzy! The transducer is located higher on the hull than the bottom of the keel (for my landlubber friends) which is why we did not "ground." But when you see these numbers, you are totally coasting! Yesterday morning we locked through with one of the large ferry's from Fenelon Falls. While a caution was in the travel guides about this area, the captain of the ferry reiterated the hazard. It's a lake full of stumps and this type of depth was consistent throughout. We were happy to be back in the narrow and still shallow canal!
