Coming into the Florida Keys, we found hundreds of crab traps, closely set. There were so many traps, our track line looked as if we were hitting the sauce! There's great concern about the prop through these areas and a constant vigil is held with both sets of eyes. Now, add birds to the mix! Literally hundreds of birds, all cloistered in and around the crab traps and you have two confused cruisers! Yes, the birds eventually fly when the boat nears them but guess what doesn't fly and on THESE traps we needed lots of lead time.
