We began our day in some heavy fog. I was out on the bow while Ron kept a close eye on the radar and picked up two trawlers northbound about a quarter of a mile behind us. By radio we all communicated and they were going slightly faster than we felt was prudent under the circumstances. They eventually caught up to us and requested a pass. (See me smiling here??) That's when I went off duty!! When the two of them took the lead, we just followed closely behind far more reassured that if there were any deadheads, they would certainly find them first.
