Fellow "Loopers"

Kingston is located at the base of the Catskill Mountains. As you can see, it's a pretty little town and many people stop here. To our shock and amazement, we met five more couples who are currently transiting the Loop. These are two of the boats. To the right is the Winnie W. owned and operated by Doug and Kathie King. The next boat is the Sun Cat, owned and operated by Steve and Jean Purdy. The kings are from New Bern, NC and the Purdy's are from Portland, Maine. The six of us spent a very enjoyable evening aboard the Sun Cat. The other three couples were from Fort Collins, Co (two boats traveling together) and Kay Biscayne, Florida. I understand we will continue to piggy back one another for most of the loop. Very exciting to come into port and "know someone familiar!"
