This was a sad story. The couple is from (winter residence) Florida and summer Del. They have lived on their boat since 2001 and love it. Twice the have attempted the loop. Last year, the skippers Dad unfortunately pass away and the trip was terminated. This year, massive engine trouble, requiring a new engine, he said. They will be towed to Waterford, and then to Albany tomorrow. Defeated? Not a chance! Their attitude began with: "Third times a charm!" and they'll be back next year they said. God Bless them. We are forever grateful for the people we are meeting along the way.
