This is our Coast Guard Auxiliary patrol boat. On the day we began the trip, our hearts were deeply touched, when 73 was abeam of Dubhe III and Tim Mulherin snapped a salute from the bow of 73, while a cannon was fired behind her. Has anyone, any where EVER begun a trip around the Great Loop in such a magnificant fashion? What you see behind the 73, is the discharge smoke from the cannon.
